Lately, Canggu has started to feel even busier than Bali’s long-time tourist favorite — Kuta. Many travelers now visit Canggu mainly for the nightlife and beach clubs they often see on TikTok or Facebook.
But Canggu is much more than just parties and nightlife.
In this article, we’ll share a more enjoyable and balanced way to spend one full day in Canggu —
from breakfast by the beach and surfing sessions to sunset spots and
relaxing spa treatments at night.

The venue features a mostly outdoor setup with an open tropical design that feels very relaxed and welcoming. They serve excellent coffee, American-style breakfasts, salads, pastries, and many other brunch favorites — making it a perfect place to start your morning in Canggu.
This place is very popular, so try to arrive early. It gets busiest during lunch hours.
One thing you definitely shouldn’t miss in Canggu is surfing.
After trying several beaches around the area, my friends and I agreed that Batu Bolong Beach and Echo Beach have the best surfing atmosphere in Canggu. There are many surf beaches in Bali, but these two have a special vibe that makes the experience more fun and memorable.
For this itinerary, though, we recommend Batu Bolong Beach because the waves are generally more beginner-friendly.
You can easily rent surfboards along the beach, with prices starting from around IDR 50K per hour (prices may vary, so always confirm before renting).
If you’re completely new to surfing, many instructors also offer beginner lessons ranging from IDR 350K–500K per session, usually including board rental.
If you want to learn surfing more seriously, some of our friends recommended these surf schools:
If you are a beginner, choose an instructor who teaches more in the water rather than on land, as hands-on practice helps you learn faster.
Experience professional spa treatments directly at your villa or hotel in Bali. Our therapist comes to you with a clean, comfortable, and relaxing setup.

After browsing recommendations from several traveler communities, we found a great lunch spot called The Avocado Factory.
The Avocado Factory claims to be Southeast Asia’s first avocado bar — and honestly, the food lives up to the hype.
They offer plenty of healthy menu options such as avocado burgers, poke bowls, salads, smoothie bowls, and more. Besides healthy meals, they also serve steaks, pasta, grilled dishes, Indonesian food, coffee, and fresh pastries.
Whether you want a healthy brunch or a proper lunch after surfing, this place is a solid choice.
This spot is known for healthy food and gets very busy during lunch, so it’s better to make a reservation a bit earlier.
Love Anchor Canggu Market is one of the most iconic open-air markets in Canggu.
With its tropical atmosphere and creative local vibe, this market has become a favorite stop for travelers looking for unique Bali souvenirs and stylish local products.
The market opens daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, but the best time to visit is usually late afternoon when the atmosphere becomes more lively and enjoyable.
You’ll find around 70+ vendors selling fashion items, jewelry, home decor, handmade products, and unique gifts.
- Many vendors are open to bargaining, so don’t hesitate to negotiate politely.
- Bringing cash or Indonesian digital payment apps can make transactions easier.
La Brisa has been popular among both locals and international travelers for years, especially during sunset hours.
The venue features a beautiful barefoot-luxury concept with rustic wooden decor and a very aesthetic sunset atmosphere. Their main menu focuses on seafood dishes and international cocktails.

Every Sunday, they also host a Sunday Market from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
